We did a western vacation bible school at our church with our youth. We purchased items through oriental trading and set the props up inside our church.

Crafts
Some crafts we did with our youth was these listed here. We bought these from oriental trading but you can also make your own.  You can make the prayer journal by using notebook paper and have them draw a Horse on the front saying, "Wanted By God". Have them write down everyday what they want from the Lord most. They can make a prayer box out of shoe boxes or cardstock. They can put prayer requests in it everyday.  They can also make a Ranch horse by using paper plates.  You make your own cross with popsicle sticks and buy shirts and decorate them with fabric paint. The kids are sure to love this!
